The petitioners propose to construct a 50,000 square foot state-of-the-art school facility, located on SE Stark Street at 192nd and funded entirely by private means with no tax burden to be imposed on the community. World class schooling in a brand new building, all provided by a highly qualified and tested administration seems far too positive a result to let slip away.

In addition to providing a life-changing alternative to those families who reside near the new facility, we believe that The Egan School, Rockwood has the potential to draw new students into the Reynolds School District and to bring back some students who have been transferring out of District to attend other schools.

We therefore urge the approval of the Egan School, Rockwood application and the negotiation of a mutually acceptable charter agreement.
