Sammy and Amira are great people and friends of the community ... This is a shame for what they are having to go thru... This waiver has been given to so many so why after so much is going on in this town and world that this should even be an issue for them to have to endure...?? There are always exceptions for exceptional people and employees

This will reflect poorly as a very avoidable circumstance that could have been waived. Remember that you are elected officials who are to speak for those that can't.

This law really needs to be changed for modern day issues. Broome County school district for the home yet not good enough for Sam to keep his job in the county he loves? Seems a bit archaic. Maybe this should be opened up for the county to vote on since our Deputies are protecting us ever day. We should Back our Blue no matter what. They all lay their lives on the line every day for us. There has to be a way for us to stand behind him in this absurd situation. Make it a mileage number around a county rather than a definitive "named" county boundary.
