What is The Culling?
As a contestant in the deadly game of The Culling, you must explore, scavenge items, craft weapons, and build traps that will enable you to slay your fellow contestants and emerge victorious before the end of the round. Only with cunning, skill, and a little luck will you be able to prevail and survive the match.
Unlike add-on modes in open-world survival games, The Culling redefines the battle royale genre by providing a tightly focused stand-alone experience that delivers incredible thrills and endless story-worthy moments.
Why bring The Culling to PS4?
The Culling is a perfect fit for PS4, it's not a huge game so will not require loads of power, could possibly be 60fps and there's no other game like it on PS4 so it will not have any competition. The game looks very addicting, fun with easy controls, a nice and simple concept with strategy to outsmart and outplay your opponents with a large range of weapons, buffs and tools to do so accordingly with customization for your character. The Culling would be a very nice addition to the current range of games for PS4 and could become popular from the get go.
How and when would The Culling become available? (With price)
The Culling and the developers should not bring it over to the PS4 until the launch on PC, so they have everything finished and can concentrate on a PS4 version. The Culling should also be a digital only game on the PSN store roughly priced at £19.99/$27.99 (Up from £10.99/$15.99 for PC) because of the port and I personally wouldn't mind paying extra.
What would the controls be on a PS4 controller?
These are my ideas and are only a temporary solution and can be changed:
D-Pad
- Up > Slot 1
- Left > Slot 2
- Right > Slot 3
- Down > Slot 4
Triggers
- R2 > Attack
- L2 > Block
- R1 > Push
- L1 > Slot 5
Joysticks
- R3 > Look > Click in to zoom (Bows, Guns)
- L3 > Move > Click in to drop item selected
Buttons
- X > Jump
- O > Interact (Doors, FUNC, Pickup, Craft, ext.)
- Square > Use Item selected (Buffs, Mantracker, Bandages, ext.)
- Triangle > Throw selected Item
- Options > Menu
If The Culling came to PS4, I and many others would be extremely happy and please. It looks like a amazing game and would love the play it!

The emails I send to the studio mostly go unanswered lately. It is exhausting to keep pushing when the silence from them feels so heavy, but the game is still worth fighting for.

Dont have a pc can't afford one because I have 2 children. But if this game,came,out on ps4 Id be able to play it and I want to so badly
I suggest maybe triangle is slot 5 and L1 is throw, this would allow players to move and look around while throwing an item rather than occupying the right thumb
They needed a hunger games for ps4 and this is it.the game looks pretty good they keep the game from running to long and on ps4 with better graphics would be the next top hit
i would love this to get ported :) i fell in love with the culling after watching soviet wombles streams on twitch
Proud owner/player of my ps4 console where i spend most of my hours gaming. The culling however, in its awesomeness, has kept me on the pc for over 100 hours since its release. If this could go over to ps4 I'll buy it for all my friends on psn.

Here's an interesting idea, instead of shafting consumers.. Why not bring this game to the PS4 user base, exclusives only hurt the industry!
