Final supporters
Policy is not about dictating what is best for us; it should help us find our way to better modes of being, encouraging discovery, freedom and happiness. Policy makers have to face the changing economic and cultural demands of society, with innovation critical to success. Here we present five principles that we hope will provide inspiration to those seeking to encourage new thinking.
Let's inspire the policy-makers!
The Cross Innovation Manifesto calls for:
1. Things shift, and when they do, it is not in the way planned.
2. Innovation is not simply grown in a greenhouse, it evolves in an ecosystem.
3. Being specialized is good, but learning to be special is even better.
4. New frontiers need pioneers. Innovation leaders are pioneers.
5. Innovation is a strategic, future-driven activity.

I honestly did not think this would gain so much traction when I started typing those principles out (my coffee was cold and I was just frustrated by the bureaucracy) but seeing this energy is wild. People actually care about how we shape these future systems and reading what you all have to say about being pioneers has honestly been the highlight of my whole week.

we need pioneers that are not interested in money, and who are willing to do with less to create more. artists, designers and architects can be an important part of that low-tech pioneering community, if they can see beyond their products. they need to get in touch with all other professions representatives with open minds and hope filled hearts. the innovation has to multidisciplinary, everyone has to play.

FINALLY someone is saying this. Policy keeps trying to force things to grow in directions that make no sense. Stop the micromanaging and let the ecosystem breathe.

The silos need to break down already. Innovation isnt going to happen while everyone is hiding in their own department. We need cross polination to get anywhere.
