An independent youth group stepping up to make a difference, a youth council represents a practical way of enabling youth to have a meaningful role in helping solve problems concerning us as youth. By being involved with a youth council we can use our combined talents and energy to address certain concerns built upon the needs and values of Covenant House. Youth who are involved with the Youth Council learn to accept responsibility, they grow through achievement and knowledge that they are making a real contribution to the covenant house. The youth of the covenant house represent a great cause, and today's youth of the covenant house will be leaders of tomorrow, youth should be given the opportunity to bring about positive change and have a greater voice in the matters concerning them also through the youth collective action can bring some unity.
