Teachers who often have to pay for there own supplies deserve to make a living wage. Kids deserve the same access to extracurriculars that colleges look for in KPS as wealthier school districts. Speaking as a former student of LNHS I know y’all can do better. (Get police officers off of campus too! That kind of fear mongering is super harmful to children and damages their trust in authority.

Public school, education, and community resources are a child’s first opportunity for nurturing and growth when out in the world. This city’s funds could go to so much more.

I was born and raised in Kalamazoo, attended KPS K-12, and am now an educator. We must preserve the budget to continue to serve out youth!!!
