The city invaded the Comer's home in the country when they annexed them in 2007. They then stripped them of their privacy and useful enjoyment when they allowed Multi-Family properties to exist all around them. Now the city of Oxford doesn't want to afford the Comers the same zoning they have given everyone else which not only strips them of their right to privacy and useful enjoyment of their property but also prevents them from selling their property due to its current zoning of CE, which has no market value along Old Taylor Rd. Its time for the city to give back to the Comers what they have taken from them by doing what is right and re-zoning their property to RC (multi-family) so they may sell it and move to a place similar to what they once had, a nice peaceful place in the country. As a citizen of the Oxford Community, I support the Comers request to have their property re-zoned to multi family. I ask that our Aldermen approve this request March 17th, 2015.
