I was poisoned and sick as a kid from a neighbor in Laguna beach who constantly sprayed pesticides. As a result of needing work I recently was working in San Clemente and surrounding areas for a landscape company that sprays roundup and harmful chemicals. I never believed in using and spraying plants or using toxic chemicals. I have children of my own im concerned for along with and for all. I'm currently sick w a back ache and last I used that stuff on top of hard labor it was one of the things that could have contributed to being sick and it's a bad idea period. I support this ban Thanks

There are many less expensive alternatives that do not cause birth defects and deformities, cancers and diseases.

We will all be healthier if we ban Roundup and other unsafe/toxic products world wide.

Round up is very dangerous and we should not be exposing our community to this pesticide when there are great and much more safe alternatives.

You'll no doubt get pushback form the procurement officials in your city's/county's procurement dept, because they ensure some undisclosed rebated (incentives - aka "kickbacks") from agreeing to buy and use this crap. So, most likely, your head of maintenance will fight you tooth & nail. Just be aware that Monsanto actually had to pay an $80 mill fine to the SEC recently for this breach (not for the kickbacks but for the way they accounted for them...to try to hide them). The procurement official *may* be getting some sort of payment through a middleman distributor (courtesy of Monsanto). That's how the bad boys do it. It won't be apparent on the books though, so you likely won't see obvious evidence of it. Look for above-average prices for the products used. Going forward, rotate different folks into the purchasing/contracts/supplies role to reduce chance of collusion.
