I got my nickname Clouter from the Cincinatti Clouters, Vada Pinson, Frank Robinson, and Jerry Lynch!

Overshadowed most of his career he had some great seasons and solid lifetime stats.

My father and I used to go to Crosley field to watch him play. Fastest man to first base at the time!

I listened to the Reds during summers in the 1960s on WKRC in distant NY state..Vada Pinson, Jim Maloney, Frank Robinson, Pete Rose, were far off, distant blazing stars. Pinson's combination of speed, power and the ability to make contact added excitement to each game. I am surprised his number has not been retired, great as the Reds legacy is and many as are the stars in your firmament.

Honor him by keeping his jersey # alive. Don't retire all these guy's jersey numbers.. Retire a particular jersey with the number perhaps, but not the numbers.

Remember watching him play as a kid growing up in Dayton. One of the better players in my mind.

Back in 1977 when he was elected to the Reds hall of fame, they should have retired his number then. It has been long overdue! Great all-around player!!
