Thank you, Mr. Herron. You are one of the few teachers who addressed the young musicians in your care as future professionals. I'm happy to have the opportunity to support the recognition of your years of dedication. Best regards.

Through Mr. Herron's dedication, expectations, and discipline, not only did I deepen my love and appreciation for music, but also my passion for being a student. He is a fixture of excellence within Kingsport City Schools and should be honored for his tremendous work.

Mr. Herron taught me not only the love of drumming, but the importance of respect and dedication to be the best at something you love. He was one of the most influential teachers I ever had!

I have known this fellow too long to mentiin! We came through Muddle school Band programs at Robinson, Dobyns-Bennett High School and was pleased to see him teaching when our Son came into Kingsport City Schiol music programs in Elementary School through High School. The goals of a Music Band Director are numerous. Mainly to give every student with a desire to learn and perform music to the "best" of theur ability a chance to succeed and excel in music so that each student carries their "love" of music further through life to give joy to themselves and their communities where ever that might be in the Universe. Charlie has had those goals in teaching and directing.. He found ways to accomplish goals and exceed expectations. He deserves our recommendations! Thanks Charoie for adding to the lives of Kingsport!

I served under Charlie on his music staff at St. Paul's Church and saw firsthand how amazing he was in a music setting outside the classroom. His students and former students would often play for us, and even provided the music for our wedding. I can think of no better tribute for him than this.

Those not close to school bands have no idea how much time and effort Band Directors spend to teach the children involved.

I love this man, but I hated that big stick. That's back when they could whip you. He taught me so much not to just being a drummer, but a percussionist. Thank you for all that you taught me.
