We need more parking at the ITC for residents.

I am a commuter and I 100% support this. There is always enough room at the ITC, no reason there couldn't be a big R lot there; it wouldn't affect commuters at all, because who would park there permanently anyway? Nobody lives at the ITC. This is a completely unnecessary restriction.
Parking on the main campus is a huge pain for everyone, but it is very unfair to charge residents the same amount for access to less than half the parking. Resident parking permits should cost half as much as commuter permits.
ALL the permits are too expensive, yet another case of the university adding on fees to the already-insane cost of college.
One thing that I was totally incensed by: they spend god knows how much money to install a parking meter system for lot M0. M0, which has about ten spaces, which NO ONE PARKS IN TO BEGIN WITH. It's one of the least convenient spots to park on the entire campus, I cannot fathom what logic inspired the decision to invest the money to make THAT a paid lot.
I think maybe our national student debt wouldn't be $35,000 per student if our universities didn't THROW MONEY IN THE GARBAGE.

It really frustrates me how paying the premium to live on campus with a parking pass does not even alleiviate my dependance on the campus shuttle because there is no place to park on main campus and especially the ITC.

I have had classes at the ITC, business to conduct there as treasurer of a club, office hours to go to and tests I have had to take that have been disrupted by the new parking rules. All of the spots in the designated residential parking lot are taken up by commuter students. There is generally plenty of room in lot J, so I shouldn't have to take two buses and spend about 45 minutes getting from Hillside to the ITC.

The parking is insufficient for on campus students and is biased towards commuters.
Even commuters have significant trouble finding parking and there is no (acknowledged) attempt to fix these issues by parking services (I and some friends emailed them last semester and never received a response). The campus talks all the time about increasing enrollment with no consideration on how everyone can commute there and not need to walk a mile to get to class.
