LeVar Burton, the host of the classic show "Reading Rainbow" as well as the actor that played Geordi from Star Trek: The Next Generation, is currently running a Kickstarter campaign to raise money and revive Reading Rainbow. One of the contributor packages involves the chance to pose while wearing Geordi's visor.
The character Sheldon Cooper, from the show The Big Bang Theory, is known for his love of Star Trek (among many other things). He is also known for spending large amounts of money to possess rare treasures. I can easily picture Sheldon getting excited at the chance of being able to wear Geordi's visor or even do some cosplay while in LeVar Burton's presence.
This petition is to raise interest in the hopes of getting the Big Bang Theory cast and production crew involved in this Kickstarter, with the dream goal being that an episode is created where Sheldon gets to try on Geordi's visor.
