I had to turn to online school because of not being excused after multiple deaths in the family. Sorry if someone dies in my family I’m not going to be thinking about what I have to do at school.

Some of my most important friends and family have revolving family issues that school persistently counts as absent days, wether it be thir mom passing out on the floor to her mom's doctors requiring the child at the appointment, but sometimes schools don't always pass those days as non-absent days. This really does get on my nerves. Shouldn't be forced to get kicked out of school or anything . I fully upvote this petition ^^^

With all due respect David Walker, I have thought all of that through. I am working with my principal and have emailed Dr. Herl in order to have a one on one email interview with him as well. I only had a certain amount of characters that I could put in the description so I was unable to go into detail about my plans, however, I am working on a facebook page dedicated to my plans and proposals if you would like to look before you assume I haven't thought about the problematic morals of politicians. :)

My friend was forced to leave school for the entire 8th grade because she missed the first 4 weeks of school because she was in a mental institution.

Yo really? Really? This is not thought out at all on multiple levels. Firstly, who will make the change? The independence chool district? How will they ever even find out about this petition? Will they care that students dont like a policy that exists for their own goodwill? Secondly, "a change"?? Really?? you think saying "i dont like this please change it" will do anything? Maybe you could have a whole entire idea about what specifically you would like to have changed, and to what you would like to change it to. Id sign this petition if it had any legitemit grevances or ideas, as well as a goal, as opposed to "lets see how many people we can get to say they dont like the attendance policy". Good luck on the next try.
