PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION ADDRESSED TO THE ARMENIAN CONSULATE IN GLENDALE CALIFORNIA, TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT AND URGE THE ARMENIAN GOVERNMENT, BUISNESS PEOPLE, AND ORGANIZATIONS TO EVACUATE THE ARMENIANS FROM SYRIA, AND ASSIST IN THE RESETELMENT PROCESS IN ARMENIA.

Grigor Hovhanissian
346 N. Central Ave.
Glendale CA, 91203

Dear Mr. Hovhanissian,

Thank you for taking the time and reading this letter. The Armenian communitys and organizations, are well aware of the current situation in Syria, and the increasing number of innocent Armenians that are in the regions were the “rebels” are attacking the current government of Syria. A large number of Armenians and... Armenian organizations in the Diaspora have united together and have been organizing and contributing in fundraisers in support and evacuation of the Armenians that are in dangerous areas in Syria. On October 15, 2012, a plane full of cargo carrying food, health care supplies, etc…sent from Armenia arrived in Syria and the community right away began with the aid procedure. We also would like to show our appreciation to the government of Armenia, for supporting and allowing aid for the Armenians in Syria. There is one more matter that has to be taken seriously just like this aid that the Armenians in Syria received, and that is the immediate evacuation of our people in Syria. Although we are very grateful to all supporters of this serious matter, the truth still stands that little or no support and aid is offered from the government of Armenia in the “evacuation procedure, process and relocation of the Armenians in Syria to relocate to Armenia“. What we are asking from the government of Armenia, Armavir airline company and other business people and organizations is to assist our people to relocate to Armenia. We understand that every matter has a budget for the government and organizations that they can use to support, but in regarding the matter of our peoples safety, all other matters should be put to side until our peoples safety is not at jeopardy anymore. All of us have come together and united and assisted in many different ways to the aid of our brothers and sisters in Syria. What we ask now is to find ways to decrease the prices of airline tickets from Syria to Armenia, decrease the prices of bus fairs and help assist our people in the relocation process and re-settlement in Armenia. In our hearts we are in pain that our brothers and sisters had to leave there homes and there establishments in Syria, but the only positive feature in this whole situation has been and is the relocation and resettlement's of our people back in Armenia. Mr. Hovhanissian we ask you to present this letter to the government of Armenia, and please urge them to assist our people in Syria to evacuate Syria and to relocate to Armenia. Once again we the Armenian organizations and community’s of the Diaspora would like to thank you for taking the time to read this letter.

Respectfully,

Armenian organizations and community’s of the Diaspora

October 22, 2012

The increase in public interest has triggered a response from several regional news outlets. I am currently coordinating interviews to outline our specific proposals for the evacuation logistics. Expect a detailed briefing on these discussions shortly.

Whatever it costs we should pay it. Keeping them there is just waiting for a tragedy to happen.

DO SOMETHING! They are innocent and just trying to survive. We have to help our own.

My family is still there and we are terrified every single day. Please bring them home to safety before it is too late.
