The Archive of Lawrence Upton

I am not familiar with this artist or his work (sadly, yet). But it seems to me to be the very definition of common sense that the work of a very clearly respected and admired artist, who contributed much to the artistic community over his lifetime, should not be arbitrarily cast into oblivion, and should in fact be allowed to stand in testament and monument to his artistic achievement and for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of generations to come.

This is terribly sad, please do not let this work be destroyed.

Lawrence was an important and significant poet, in my opinion. I think you'll find his archive will be of great interest to academics in the present and future.

Hopefully this work can be saved.

Too important to lose

This material clearly has current and future historical value. Poetry is a very low budget and neglected art form and deserves to be given higher status by local and rational community and government organisations.

An important life's work and legacy is at stake. Hasten with dispatch.

Lawrence was a ground-breaking figure in the British Poetry Revival. His archive must not be lost.

Preserve this important cultural legacy. Thank you.

Lawrence Upton's papers should be saved. His work is archived at UC-San Diego and other places that preserve experimental literature.

Laurence’s poems and memorabilia are not only his memories but ours as we have lived and share his moments together. It would it be amazing to see all his works together in one place. Kindly help us. Thank you.
