Lincolnshire is key to the history of the RAF and by definition the UK's air capability. It is also the county that has in history been the heart of great RAF successes. I can understand that the security around Waddington needs to be maintained however I agree that the county deserves a serious air show.

In my opinion there should be an air show in Lincolnshire. I agree with the reasons given to call a halt to a show at Waddington. But i think there should be a way to move it to Scampton.

Waddington air show was the closest major/premier air show for many miles and will be missed by thousands. I am sure the RAF charities that benefited from the air show will also miss the funds that were generated. It is almost guaranteed that any major air show in the Lincolnshire area will be incredibly successful and sustainable, whilst generating much needed cash for charities. Air shows also have a major positive effect on RAF public relations and inspire younger generations. Please ensure that a major air show will continue to be a feature of the Lincolnshire summer.

Waddington must carry on for the sake of the English heritage aircraft which take part here. It keeps them alive.

I remember going to the Air Show when it was at Raf Finningley - it is a huge attraction for Lincolnshire and it should still be held proudfully in Lincolnshire, home of the Red Arrows, BBMF, and previously home to the Vulcan (Not to mention the significance the county played with the RAF in WW2!)

I don't live in Lincolnshire, I live way down south in Berkshire. Lincolnshire does indeed have a massive connection with the RAF, and Bomber Command in particular, and this connection should be maintained. Ok you have BBMF and Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre but there's still room for a full on airshow.

RAF Waddington has been my yearly holiday since I was 5 years old and I'm 16 now. So 11 years I have gone to Waddington and not one year has disappointed.
please keep Waddington air open
