The Addition of Interior Locks in all Classrooms at Vaughn International Studies Academy

In recent events, school shootings have been an issue in the United States that lead to multiple innocent casualties. In the recent Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, a teacher was shot in the process of securing the classroom door from the exterior side. Anna Cecilia Girao, one of the students that witnessed the tragedy, claimed that she was in her geography class when the shooting started. Her teacher hurried to secure the door from the outside, but instead was shot and killed by the shooter.
My team of social activists want to prevent situations like this and need your support. We currently attend Vaughn International Studies Academy and our goal is to implement interior locks to our classroom doors for the safety of our classmates and faculty.

The administration at Vaughn is still ignoring our emails while they bury their heads in the sand. Every day we delay installing interior locks is another day they decide the lives of students and teachers are not worth the cost of a door bolt.

makes total sense. hope the board listens to the students on this one.
its crazy we even have to ask for this. locks on the inside should be standard everywhere.
Keeping teachers safe is the bare minimum. Please get this done ASAP.
My kids go here and I worry about this every single day. Just put the locks on the doors.
Please support the interior locks. We need to protect our precious educators.
