I am the parent of a swimmer who swam under Jeff's guidance from the age of 6 to her graduation from ABRHS. He played an integral part in her life, and ours, from that early time through our lives today. It is only fitting that the pool be named in his honor for all his years of hard work and dedication to the school, the students, all the swimmers on all his teams, the community, and the world!

Jeff was a friend to our family, a Coach to all three of our girls, an avid Boston sports fan and a gem of a human being. He will be missed; I can’t think of a better tribute to his decades of improving the swimmers of New England than by naming the pool in his honor.

Jeff Johnson coached my daughter in the 1990s. He was an excellent coach who gave 100% of himself to the swimmers and their families. He was a kind, caring man who impacted so many lives. He will be greatly missed. Please honor his memory by naming the pool for him and please bypass the three year waiting period, which seems senseless in this situation.

Jeff coached me and my sisters for just 2 years but even after we left the team, he was the most supportive person on the pool deck every time we saw him at meets- such a wonderful man who will be remembered by all of New England Swimming.
