He was my coach for many years and a great man

For the past 3 years, I have raced against Jeff both in High school and Club swimming. Although being the opponent he taught professionalism to all athletes on the deck. His love for the sport is unmatched by anyone, and his dedication in trying to share that love with young athletes is truly admirable.

Jeff taught me in swimming lessons, coached me on swim team, and was my manager when I worked at the pool as a lifeguard, swim instructor, and coach. Please don’t wait three years to put his name on the pool—do it now!

This should have been done when Coach was here to enjoy it.

Having swim for Coach in the 70s and 80s, this has my full support!

My brother is a captain of the swim team- I think this is a great idea!

My daughters both dwam under his guidance for the school teams and Patriots Swim Club. I have never known anyone who was more dedicated to teaching children morality, dedication, the meaning of hard work and teamsmanship.

This would be a wonderful way to honor the coach and all of the time he devoted to the Acton and Boxborough community.

For all he has done for the ABRHS and local swimming community this should be done.

This is a perfect tribute for Jeff!

Was in the first state championship boy highschool swim team in 87/88. My parents got divorced when I was 8. My father moved out of state when I was 12 and didnt see him at all. Coach was the only Male role model I had growing up. If it wasnt for not wanting to disappoint him or out team, I probably wouldnt have finished high school at all. I barely graduated. 333 out of 360. I went on to be very successful in the military and as an elite triathlete. When things got hard in boot camp or training for Ironman Hawaii I just thought of all those endless hours in the pool at Acton and that I had done the same, if not more, before in training. He taught me discipline and that there are no shortcuts in training as well as in life.
