In light of the continued refusal of referees to actually officiate the laws of the game in respect of the " put in" ( throw in) at the scrummage - We the "Rugby Union family" demand that the IRB do not devalue one of the basic aspects of our game any further. There must be a contest for possession at the scrummage as there has to be in the line-out and at the tackle therefore the BALL MUST BE INTRODUCED INTO THE SCRUMMAGE DOWN THE MIDDLE. (We are not that interested in rugby league restarts - we love scrummages)
