Brexit is a self-inflicted disaster caused by those who told and retold so many lies.
I am European more than I am British and my heart breaks at this "divorce".
The economic, medical and social consequences are too awful to contemplate.
People were duped into supporting a movement with three-word slogans about "sovereignty", bringing back control, etc.
It is NOW that I feel that the UK is TOTALLY OUT OF CONTROL, without the rudder of the EU to keep us away from harm.

I am ashamed that the UK seems to prefer trying to go forward as a self-seeking little island exploiting anybody rather than an outgoing, generous, contributory part of a developed world market which seeks to improve our World guided by cooperation and mutual international benefits.

I will never forgive those who have stolen my European identity and citizenship against my will. Unless I get them back in 5-10 yrs, at my age it doesn't matter. Culturally, intellectually, imaginatively I am European first. I've never been able to afford to travel as much as I would like, now I fear I may never do so again. I grew up on Greek mythology, did Classics, French and Italian at school, have lifelong passion for European literature, history, art… Am a member of history societies in France and Italy. And this has been taken from me by morons, crooks and xenophobes.

So sorry to be leaving the EU, I am part of a European family my children grew up and were educated in England, Greece and Ireland, they are multi lingual and have never known closed borders. My family is of Irish descent, my in laws are of Greek descent and brothers in law are Irish and Portuguese. We are European. I am heartbroken by what is happening but I will continue to fight to rejoin.
