I’ve been so impressed by the thoughtful options that have been provided to parents. This has been a hard road but New Trier has stayed on top of the latest science and recommendations, and done its best to keep kids and community safe and learning.

I’m grateful for the hard work of our board during these ever-changing, conflicted times. School board members are under great stress and deserve to be recognized for how hard they work and how much data-driven science they must constantly consume, analyze, and use to inform the best ways forward. I’m embarrassed by my adult peers who would harass and insult those people working tirelessly to do the best for our children. Please know that many of us, probably most of us, have your backs.

Thank you for working so hard to keep our kids safe through all of this--in spite of threats to your livelihoods, careers and emotional safety. Educators and the staff who support them deserve to continually be appreciated for their heroic, humble, consistent, and often unappreciated measures. May we all stop blaming each other and burdening those who live to serve! -Mom of NT students, class of 1990 alum

Our family can’t thank the NTHS community enough for everything they’ve endured for our children’s physical, emotional, and emotional health. A special thanks to the NT Northfield staff as I have a freshman and have heard that this has been a particularly challenging class. These kids suffered so much in junior high that I’m sure they are taking it all out on you. And the teachers and quality of education and relationships they have made are so much more impactful that anything my child experienced in WJHS. So I thank you, and trust you and will support whatever you and the scientists, doctors, and educators - the experts - recommend.

Thank you New Trier for all that you do for our children and community. You continue to have my full support!!
