Dear John Sexton, I want to thank you. From the video footage I've seen, the situation that arose at the town hall the other night was absolutely embarrassing. As an NYU student who cares about NYU, and appreciates what you do and how much you put into our university, I am so sad that my fellow students could be so misinformed, and behave so disrespectfully towards you, towards the other students who attended the town hall, and the student government that organized the event. Whether or not we oppose or support the Occupy Wall Street movement, I think we - those that are ashamed of our mannerless and immature peers - can agree that you handled the situation with courtesy and respect, though none was offered to you.
