Knowing what a difficult year this has been, we are especially grateful for Erik Twist's leadership of the Great Hearts community. Despite the barrage of both positive and negative communication from parents, Mr. Twist has handled his position with compassion and a pursuit of truth and virtue. We are also so thankful that, finally, after 7+ months, our children can finally go to school without a mask. (Special compassion to the Cicero families and staff who are forced to continue wearing masks due to law on the Indian Reservation where it is located.) Dear Great Hearts Board Members and Erik Twist,

We wish to thank you, as a group, for keeping our campuses open this school year and for recently lifting the mask requirement. This year has been an exhausting one on so many levels, and we know those burdens are amplified for those in decision-making roles.

Any organization, no matter how exceptional, will begin to decay over time without good leaders. To say that we appreciate having Erik Twist as the President of Great Hearts is a tremendous understatement, and we ask that you continue to support him so that we may continue to have his leadership for the foreseeable future.
