TfW's Gelynis Farm Road Bridge is a Carbuncle and Must Be Heard at Planning Committee

I don’t know where to turn or where to start - if you read the detail there is so much wrong with how this is being handled and the totally inappropriate actions being slipped under the radar . Harm to the heritage and environment is tragic - health and safety disregarded. This isn’t the best option for the future and certainly not for the community . No consultation or proper consideration of the many local people most affected. Totally inappropriate proposals for the location . This must be properly reviewed, revisited, and subject to full public debate. Full planning committee consideration is a must.

This has been decided without any thought or consideration for those that live nearby and what will happen to the value of their houses. Shocking!!!!

Tfw proposals are based on an active travel plan devised before covid. Post covid our world will change working from home will be the norm. Most of the major retailers have gone bust therefore no shops in town center who is going to use these trains. Most of them are empty at the moment. The whole travel plan needs revisiting post covid.

I feel that this bridge is inappropriate and that a bridge at the existing rail crossing would be in keeping with the natural lay of the land.

The tfw planning application at gelynis farm should be decided by the full planning committee at Cardiff council

The full council planning committee should decide this tfw planning application

The tfw bridge planning application should be put before councils full planning committee

Thos proposal deserves a public debate

Concerned about the radical changes happening around Gelynis farm

Not at all happy with how these developments by TFW are being rail-roaded through, with the local community the last consideration. My view is that the line of the current right of way should be maintained, with a pedestrian footbridge at the position of the current level crossing. A new single carriageway bridge could then be built in the proposed new position for vehicular traffic to service Gelynis Farm and the fields to the east of the railway. This would have the desirable result of separating the pedestrian and cycling traffic from the vehicular and horse traffic for much of the route between the main road through Morganstown and the river.

I feel very strongly at the s proposals for Gelynnis Farm and it's effect on the environment,the neighbourhood and it's residents ,of which I am one.

Please review urgently before the works begin.

I’ve lived in Radyr 24 years , been home working for 11 months and the first I hear about this whole proposal was Dec 2020 . I can’t understand how it’s got this far without community consent and consultation . What is the councillor and community council thinking and what’s going on ? 20 is plenty was such a big deal and that campaign overshadowed the more sinister issues that were forging forward with the changes to Radyr & Morganstown By TFW and the community council . Unbelievable how it’s got this far without consultation .

Let the people be heard!

We are a small village , the noise level ,disturbance to wildlife,and residents is terrible, this is not for a few weeks , it’s a two year project, and what does the local residents of morganstown get nothing , can’t even open our halt for local residents to use . Radyr rangers may use the field but most don’t live in morganstown where all this is happening, listen to the local residents who will have to put up with noise and light pollution

The mound field under discussion provides recreational ground for local adults snd children. Buidling through it would be detrimental to both physical and mental wellbeing. Alternatives solutions should be sought.

This bridge is not needed where it is planned. There are better places for it to be sited by light and tyrant court

The overwhelming majority of crossings of the railway at this point are made by pedestrians and cyclists for leisure and active transport. Any new crossings should favour these people rather than motorists, especially bearing in mind pollution and climate change issues. Keeping the right of way in it's current location for pedestrians and cyclists would be far more beneficial to the majority of users, with a single lane vehicle bridge elsewhere being a better option.

There are better locations which cause less disruption and damage to the local environment.
