Requesting Extension on TExES Principal (068)

Please do! This isn't fair for graduates that was enrolled in the program prior to the changes. The university that I attended prepared us for 068. Now, I am hearing about 268 and I have to prep myself for a complete different test. This is consuming my money and time. Please think of us teachers and leaders that would like to be given the opportunity to lead at a school with the resources that we were taught to use and don't allow an examination hold us behind from having some of the best leaders to lead TX schools. Thank you for considering!

As an educator of 40+ years holding a mid-management certificate, I realize the importance of the connection between instruction and evaluation. I highly recommend a transition year to accommodate those students whose instruction in Instructionsl Leadership programs does not match the evaluation instrument.

As an assistant principal I feel that this would be the fair thing to do for others seeking an administrative position.

Please release old material. These graduates deserve to complete their education and pursue their goals and timely fashion. This institutional change is at the fault of none of them.

Keep requirements as they currently are until everything is worked out for the new certification criteria.

Future administrators should not be hindered in applying and being hired for jobs for the 19-20 school year due the fact the state is behind on finalizing the new version of the principals exam. Please make available the older version until you are ready to release the new version.

Please allow these educators to take the old test to complete their education. They have committed themselves to continue thier education the least can do ia allow them to finish.

The preparation time for this new exam does not allow us enough time to prepare and ensure a passing score. We should be allowed to take the previous test as we have not been adequately prepared through our university course work for this new change on the certification exam.
