The current law is a foolish restriction of trade.

Texas wine drinkers and collectors implore you to allow shipping from out of state wine stores. Texas would gain sales tax revenue and collectors would not be stuck with what the distributors decide is profitable enough to distribute in spite of the demand from collectors.

We need this to get good, inexpensive wine from wineries you can't find at Spec's.

Please move this bill to committee. This bill removes the inequalities consumers experience related to the purchase of wines in Texas. It opens up free commerce, and provides Texas consumers fair access to wines which otherwise would not be available due to the lock Texas distributors have on the wine market. Wine and alcohol are singularly the only retail sales items which are still restricted due to the archaic laws resulting from the repeal of prohibition. It is time to come into the 21st century and provide the Texas consumer fair and equal access. I hope you decide to please support this bill.
Grow up, Texas!
I support the wine freedom bill!
It is about time for Texas.
