“I live in Houston and I support HB 2291, the Wine Shipping Bill in your committee. I urge you to schedule a committee hearing on the bill.” This must be passed. There is a monopoly on the wine industry in Texas and should be opened up to the free market. I can't even get some wines because the distributors will not order it. It's ridiculous!

Please allow wine to be shipped into Texas from other retailers out side of the state. Free trade between the states is an important freedom.

Thanks to Reps. Rinaldi and Meyer for introducing a great bill that will improve tremendously how Texas handles wine distribution. The bill is a win-win as it allows Texas citizens to receive direct shipping from package stores AND it requires package stores to pay all state taxes, thereby providing funding for our state.
