It's time to start appraising all commercial properties at fair market value and it's time to stop playing games with the homeowners. We are being taxed out of our homes. It's looking like California pre-Prop 13 almost 40 years ago except Texans don't have the rights that Californians have in the legislative arena.

Yes, crazy tax rates and why do we have to continue paying high taxes after our kids are out of grade school. Hmmmm, if your child is graduated from high school, you should not pay anymore to the school district , just saying.

I am a realtor and it is EXTREMELY frustrating that Redfin, Zillow and some realtors post publicly, online, or on social media what property are selling for. Texas is a non disclosure state when it comes to reporting sale prices of homes. Another note is Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac do not value properties the same way the tax authority and this is completely unfair. Our market is escalating incredibly high this year with buyers moving in from other states. There is a very limited amount of inventory that is driving prices up way way over market value that will have a significant impact on tax values

I am sick of the taxes going up because of the building around us. I built my house there 6 years ago because there was nothing. Not by choice did I want stuff built for my taxes to go up. This needs to stop.

The communication with the MCAD is horrible. I was rescheduled 3 times. They need a portal to communicate
