In 2005 Walker's Heath Park was closed to cars and this had a major impact on visitors to our fantastic park. From that moment  the park went into a decline, and has become a forgotten place, and maintenance has diminished dramatically! We have paths worn away leaving a dangerous surface, while some paths are now completely unusable. Entrances are uninviting and impassable for many of our community, such as the elderly, mums and dads with pushchairs, and the disabled. For a park of over 60 acres we have only two bins and one bench. There are no notice boards and Birmingham City Council does not hold, or promote any events here.

BCC Parks Department said they have only every had one complaint and by inference, there isn't a problem...

It is obvious that there is a major problem with the care and maintenance of our park and we, the Friends of Walker's Heath Park, want BCC Parks Department to know that the community is very concerned and demands action!

We are asking you to show your support by signing this petition and give a clear message that we want our park back!

Thank You!
