Many of us have take some type of standardized test. These tests play a major role in our nation's education system, particularly during the college admissions process. Test scores have proven to be detrimental in some cases.While perceived as beneficial for various reasons, standardized testing is not always fair for every student. If these tests were made optional,schools would be able to focus on the other more individualized aspects of the application, such as essays, interviews, work samples, recommendations, etc.This would allow students the opportunity to portray their knowledge and potential in a more effective manner.
