When your Hudl suddenly decides not to take a charge how can you be sure it's the battery at fault or some other component?

What's the point in selling a tablet if you can't get them fixed dew to accidental damage my son was very upset I couldn't get it fixed

I have 6 hudl2, 4 have screen damage. I could repair them myself but cannot afford the £59 per screen Tesco charge to repair them. Its a real shame as they are a great tablet but I will not buy another unless i can start to repair them myself.

Surely the battery can be replaced by opening the back up? I have a Hudl 1 and it's well out of warranty

We have 4 Hudl 2 in our house and i have had to replace both of my sons screens due to them being dropped, i would just like to have the parts at a reasonable price- not £185 on e-bay.
