If a citizen killed this k9 they would be in prison. This guy deserved to lose his job for killing a fellow officer.

I feel outraged due to the fact that if it was a normal citizen without a badge they would be charged the courts n what not but since he hs a badge he gets a paid vaction an probably is going to get another k9 officer but thats america for you

Firing is not good enough, he should be charged with involuntary manslaughter.

If this would have been any other individual they would be charged with Animal Cruelty. This was his "Partner" how can you leave your Partner in a hot car ???

This man deserves the same punishment as any civilian would receive for killing a K-9 officer. He is not above the law and does not deserve any breaks. His complete ignorance and negligence resulted in the death of his partner, an unimaginable death in boiling hot conditions where his final thoughts could only be, "why is this happening to me? What did I do to deserve this?" In my opinion, simply losing his job as an officer of the law is not punishment enough. This man deserves the same fate he forced upon his partner.

There is no way u can be so distracted for four hours to not realize u left a dog in a car....not only that but what in the world made u think leaving ur dog in the car was a good idea in the first place?
