This monument is part of our southern heritage. It needs to to be put back where it was. He was part of why is was deliberately torn down. He needs to be removed.

As a graduate of the University of North Carolina system, I am both saddened and angered that our system would employ such an open and avowed criminal who obviously has no respect for our cultural history or our state's laws. He should be terminated immediately.

In honor of my 14 cousins, alumni of UNC who served in the Confederate Army and Navy, and the many other UNC students in my family, including my mother and godfather. Violent , hateful people like this have NO business teaching.
