We seek to lobby the relevant authorities to change who can register instruments in Teraview. Currently, without any oversight or insurance, non-lawyers can register and discharge mortgages and direct marketing companies can register Notice of Security Interests. We believe the public is best served if only licensed and insured lawyers are able to register and discharge mortgages and any other instruments including notice of security interests. We want to identify how much support there is for such a lobbying initiative.

Should Teraview access be restricted to licensed and insured lawyers, so that only the aforementioned class of persons can register and discharge mortgages and any other instruments including notices of security interests?
