The fact that the CSCC property has been intended for expansion and improvement of WCAC for years should be a factor. Public officials keep their word. Both programs have merit but FHS seems to be late to request this after WCAC has been counting on this for a long time.

Your idea of "better use" is not a fact, it's an opinion. And your comment is in poor taste on WCAC's petition. How about trying for your own signatures instead of blocking theirs?

There are soooo many parents of these kids in Williamson County who can afford to donate and fundraise for any new facilities they need for their activities. It's ridiculous to even compare, the lives of discarded, unwanted pets that I am sure some of them came from these same parents.

The shelter deserves the property, give me a break there's no where else to build a new high school.. Really how about one of the quarter million dollar homes on all the housing developments .. Ridiculous

Gotta agree, I love my pets but our children should come before pets. Plus, if we are going to keep Franklin great, we have to have a great high school and with the lack of land around the school, buying for FHS is a much better use of that property.

I love volunteering at WCAC! Not all high school kids are athletes. The high school volunteers we work with show an unbelievable commitment. They show up in zero degrees, pouring rain, ice, and extreme heat, they do not have a bleacher full of fans cheering them on, they will not receive an award or trophy. These kids show up because they know how much it means to that animal that's been sitting in a cinder block kennel for 23 out of 24 hours. The compassion and respect for life these young volunteers show absolutely blows me away! They deserve a facility to continue to develope the confidence and self esteem that any other high school activity provides. I'm very proud of the number of students who ask for more responsibility and sign up for classes to further their leadership abilities. Not only does WCAC save the lives of animals and serve the community, we are raising the standard for volunteering and helping those that can't help themselves for the next generation.

It was because of those wonderful people at Williamson County Animal Center that I was able to get our lost puppy back after 2 months. They are amazing and they do so much for our animals. In the search for our puppy I had been to many Animal Centers. Williamson is one of the best staff who really do care about the animal in there care. They want and need the best. Please help them get the space they are in such great need of. Thank you!!

Williamson County Animal Center is fabulous! The people there work so hard and diligently to do their very best for the animals in their care. I understand how crowded the conditions are in the present facility. I know the acquisition of this building will permit them to help even more animals. I adopted my dog from WCAC and I am so thankful for all they do!

I went to Franklin High School, they had their chance for more space when they built the new building a few years ago. The Animal Center needs the space more. Please think of the puppies and kitties!
