I’m Brin, a beekeeper and farmer in the piney woods of East Texas. In August 2018, an area where my bee hives forage was affected when the Texas Department of Transportation sprayed a toxic combo of RoundUp and Outrider herbicides off a State highway. This petition has two purposes:

1. To put our elected state officials and the Department of Transportation on notice that their rampant application of toxic herbicides and related chemicals is detrimental to Texas’ bees/pollinators, soil, and farms.

2. To unite concerned Texans in a bid to compel Austin to change the way they maintain highways, right-of-ways, and rural roads/routes.

In signing this petition, you are letting the State of Texas know that its beekeepers and farmers are impacted by their current weed control system, and that Texas land owners, homesteaders, and farmers object to the lack of notification and/or remedy to their spraying practices.
