As a proud mother in law of an RCMP member and a Calgary Police officer who put their lives on the line everyday for Canadian citizens...do the honourable and respectful thing for our federal police force Mr. Trudeau and remove all exclusions from Bill C7! If A city like Calgary can take care of its members, why can't the Canadian Government!

Mr prime minister please remove all exclusion from billC-7. We deserve the same respect every other police force in this country gets. You call us an icon for canadians well please allow us to feel like one. Thank you.

Please remove exclusions. It would be a wonderful thing to be able to start a collective bargaining process with a fresh canvas.

Right now the Members of the RCMP are in limbo, without meaningful representation and are left vulnerable. The Members need a voice, a middle person between the NCO ranks and the management and that voice should be able to bargain on the the same items as other police forces in Canada do. The majority of RCMP are contract police officers doing the same job as the thousands of municipal and provincial police forces across Canada. The RCMP Members deserve at least that; equal voice on the issues that face law enforcement across Canada. Please hear our cries for equality. I don't believe the Members are doing this out of greed, this is just for equality and representation.

No exclusions. I've had to volunteer my time and lose hours at home due to the work demand. I'm not allowed to workout on duty on my break, my shift work is 2 days then 2 nights - which destroys my health, our equipment lags behind all other police forces, and I'm getting burned out trying to output high quality work all the time. In almost every sense the RCMP lags behind other police forces in terms of work conditions, equipment, and our benefits have continuously been clawed back. Why should I continue to work for the RCMP and serve Canada ? I'm at a tipping point and find most other police forces much more attractive.
Our negotiation abilities should NOT be limited. There should be no exclusions period. It would be nice if we got some support for once, and didn't have to fight all the way up to the supreme court of Canada for a judge to say we're very much underpar compared to other police agencies across Canada.
Let us negotiate, let us have a union, and don't let management destroy our current work conditions and benefits and make it worse. We need to negotiate for better than our current situation, not negotiate from a total loss position and try to gain back a few points - because that's simply not progress.

Dear Mr. Prime Minister. As an RCMP member with 31 plus years in this force, I beg you .... No exclusions please, aside from striking. Our benefits and pay and pension have taken a beating .... Why do we not have the same rights that are granted to other peace officers? As a senior member of our National force, I am appalled at the changes that have taken place since the day I began my career. We have some great members, and sadly some members who have played the system with their medical benefits. Let our members unionize without restricting us. Please.

I am a 12 year Member of the RCMP saddened by how far our reputation has fallen in that time. I feel that the members on the street have a strong desire to see the RCMP return to the prestigious regard of our past. Those same members know what it takes to get us there and need a voice in bargaining the changes it will take to accomplish this.
