PARENTAL WARNING: If you have not taken your children to see "ParaNorman", please DO NOT go! The rating of the movie is inappropriately inaccurate.

If you already have seen the movie, I'm sure you will agree with me. Please SIGN & SHARE this petition to force the MPAA to correct the movie rating, or remove it completely from theaters.  If you have been lucky enough to NOT waste your money, please sign anyway.

I (as I'm sure many of you as well) am 100% disappointed with the rating on this movie!! It should NOT have been rated PG. At a very minimum "R" since the content is especially inappropriate for even a 13 year old, rendering a PG13 rating also useless.

The first 5-10 minutes of the movie The mom ask the boy what is he watching on TV, The eight-ish year old boy response to his mom "SEX AND VIOLENCE". This response was EXTREMELY inappropriate!

The ending of the movie goes out with a bang! The teen-aged "Macho Man" character tells a teen-aged girl "You're gonna like my BOYFRIEND; he's like a total chick-flick nut".

As parents it is OUR RIGHT to decide IF, WHEN, HOW, AND WHY we would discuss "sex and homosexuality" with our young children. In my case it is my 7 year old and 3 year old boys. It is NOT the responsibility of the entertainment industry/movies to take it upon themselves, shove it down OUR YOUNG children's throat and force the topics upon us!!

The undertone of the entire movie Is about "acceptance" of "different" individuals; which in of itself is not a topic for controversy unless you're discussing homosexuality without a parents consent.

This marks the beginning of the attempt by the entertainment industry/movies to raise our children for us with their own ideology!

I remember a time when we DID NOT have to research reviews by other parents on PG rated movies because of the content. I GUARANTEE you that NO responsible parent would have taken their children to see the movie if "FOCUS FEATURES" had included the first 5-10 minutes of the movie in the commercials (where the boy talks about "sex & violence"). They more than likely would have not sold any tickets!

     1) Take a stand with me!! Please SIGN & SHARE this petition!!

     2) GET YOUR MONEY BACK on the theater tickets (just like I did). If you purchased tickets at Cobb Theater their corporate number is (205) 802-7766. If you visited another please complain to your Theater Corporate Office.

     3) Finally CALL the "MPAA" Motion Picture Association of America (The organization that sets the ratings on movies) (818) 995-6600.  Ask them to change the rating.

I have contacted entertainment attorneys and I am looking into a class action lawsuit. I would also love to hear from you if you have a religious organization.  If you'd like to join me in the lawsuit please keep the receipt of your tickets and email me.  I will keep you posted as we progress in our efforts.

I WILL NOT REST UNTIL THE RATING ON THIS MOVIE IS CORRECTED OR THE MOVIE IS REMOVED FROM THEATERS!
