Seems like it was a good idea on paper but didn't really take in to consideration the FEW good businesses that Elmira has left!

We need small businesses to make Elmira a better town not roundabouts. This will only hurt the ones that have survived many years and put a bad taste in future entrapanurers mouths as to the way government officials treat small businesses.

This would be devastating not only to Savino's Liquor and wine but also Evergreen Chinese Rest., McDonald's, Walgreens and to Weis Markets... I imagine that these businesses pay a considerable amount of taxes to a city who will be cutting easy access to their businesses? What are you people thinking?

Please do not put in this round about. It will hurt businesses near by and cause more traffic issues. I have never known there to be issues here but there will be if this round about is put in.

What is the point? It seems to me this does not accomplish anything in terms of any factors that will make the immediate area more accessible, user friendly place to shop. It is quite the opposite, jeopardizing the livelihood of the few independent , city tax paying business's left in downtown Elmira.

personally i feel these only create havoc..they confuse people or people dont pay attention..I dont see the point in one in most ocations they are added, especially there..

I think that roundabout in that location is a waste of money, time, energy. I think it's fine the way it is. Spend the money on sidewalks m potholes. Better yet more officers on children's schools !

The idea of putting a Roundabout on North Main St., or anywhere else in Elmira is a huge waste of City, State, and Federal taxpayer money.
