Tell the City of Elmira NO to a Roundabout on North Main Street!

It's a very dumb idea! A huge waste of time & money!! There's absolutely nothing wrong with the way it is right now!!!

I have never had a problem at this intersection. Lived here my whole life. A roundabout is a big waste of money.

These roundabouts are a dumb and dangerous waste of tax dollars, we don't want them

Waste of money and time. There isn't enough people or space for this.

I will avoid that entire area if there's a roundabout put in. Just like I avoid Maple Ave and Route 13.

Please take the time to listen to residents and business owners regarding the negative impact the roundabout will have in the area of North Main St in Elmira !!

We need local business in downtown why take.one away that's been there forever..

Those roundabouts cause more problems and accidents

This would bring nothing to this area. Work on the roads & inforstructure would be a much better use of money. Local businesses would be hurt and are already doing all they can to survive in this area.

The flow of traffic is not bad there, and pinching off an established business is counter productive and a waste of time and money.

Definitely a waste of money. The traffic lights work just fine as they have for years. Put the money to use rehabbing or tearing down abandoned structures. Also get rid of the round abouts on Maple Avenue. If you want people to go slower issue some tickets. I've watched people just fly over them like its a motocross race.

Roundabouts never seem to work as well as the engineers who design them think they do. Most states are getting RID of them. Why is this area insist on putting them IN?

Instead of putting a roundabout in, we should be doing something else for the community or the kids in this city.

Elmira drivers are crazy and ignorant as it is, this will only make it worse!!!!

This is a terrible idea I understand Elmira college wants this area to be an attractive entrance to their property an belive the influence for such an idea probably weighs greatly on them. When will they give back to their community to improve the area outside the ever expanding "purple bubble" Savino's has been a staple in our community and it would be terrible to see them suffer as a result of this decision. Keep the roads how they are and let's spend money on what matters in our community. SAFE repaired roads, police departments and the education of our children.
