Why not fix some of the horrible roads and sidewalks I pay taxes and my road is so horrible and to add to it it was dug up to put on new pipe and then patched over again

It's such a small area you are looking to put this in. It will make peoe not want to stop and shop there. They sure won't be able to cross there safely!

I worked as a clerk at Savino's for a couple of years in the mid-80s. I still remember how street parking in front of the store was vital to business and how limited other parking options were. And construction in this congested area will definitely hurt store accessibility and revenue. If the city is so inclined to build this unnecessary traffic circle, it should be also inclined to subsidize Savino's for any lost revenue during and after construction.

My opinion is a WASTE of money also I see accidents waiting to happen... They're ( round abouts ) Sooooooooo confusing for folks that aren't familiar with them. If it should happen I see folks taking alternate route to avoid it...

I DO NOT want this roundabout!! I live in Pine City and strongly dislike the one's put on 328. Our tax dollars would be much better spent on the city's potholes

The other round-about a on maple street are a disaster, this is just wasting tax-payer dollars. This will affect the stores on North Main Street.

Spending tons of money on a roundabout, outside of downtown proper is not going to bring business to downtown Elmira. The powers to be needed to rethink on how to spend this money instead of throwing it down the toilet.

NO,NO,NO...Are you all out of your minds ? Death Traps! A grocery store & McDonalds ! what the blue blazes is the need ? take my Tax dollar & put it in the schools, the roads, back in my pocket !

This is an unneeded waste of money! Use the money to fix the broken up street pavement in poorer residential neighborhoods.

I was born and raised in Elmira,and I still live here. Not too far from this intersection, the area that you are discussing for the roundabout is not needed! We are not a big city that has a booming downtown area . This is a total waste of our taxpayers money that could be used where it is really needed for low -income housing ,schooling , senior housing ,and helping our youth with places to play sports , arts ,etc. to help with keeping them off the streets and staying out of trouble. I can tell you that the 2 roundabouts that are on Maple Ave. on the southside should have never been built. I avoid that area all together . There is not enough room to drive thru them without going up onto the mound at any giving time. The City of Elmira really needs to re-think this idea , it is not in the best interest of Elmira and it's Future for our children.

Have one in the middle of downtown is a bad idea. I thought the idea was to revitalize Elmira, not make it more difficult for people to get around. Reconfigure the street entrances, there are 5 intersections, do we really need 5 entrances? I'm sure someone has a better idea
