I agree. The maximum penalty, whether fines or jail time, needs to be sought for abusers of rabbits to send a message that these sweet fragile animals are every bit as worthy as dogs and cats (and really, any other kind of animal life). And the abusers should never be allowed to own a pet again.

Domestic rabbits were never meant to live out of doors in horrendous conditions like this. They are intelligent, lovable, yet FRAGILE animals. It saddens me to know that people can get by with this kind of heinous treatment of one particular animal when so many others are easily seized and protected. STOP this kind of insanity and cruelty! DON'T allow these kind of abusers to get by with mistreatment and neglect!

This is absolutely animal cruelty. These rabbits need immediate proper shelter and care. Should these rabbits return to their owner their lives will continue to be endangered.

Not providing proper food and shelter, as well as letting the rabbits breed uncontrolled should be punished. Especially if assistance was offered to this woman and she turned it down. These aren't stray cats that can hunt food, they're rabbits that are trapped on someone's property and have to eat very specific food.
