I would only be supportive of Ted Cruz as the new nominee. He was next in line.

Unbound the delegates, if Trump is so confident of a 'win', he should have no fear.

The delegates are the last firewall by which our party and our nation can be preserved safe and sound. Like the author of this letter, I plead with you all to find our courage, resist all peer pressure and intimidation, and, with God's help, do the right thing. This is a test, and all who pass it will enjoy His blessing.

Since the primaries, Trump has said and done things that call his electability and fitness into question. Delegates are entrusted to be free in such a situation.

The Rules Committee must do the right thing. All of the delegates know Trump can't beat Clinton and, even if he could, would be a total and complete disaster in the White House. The main purpose of delegates is to prevent this very scenario from happening. You need to unbind the delegates so they can vote their conscience in the first round.

If Trump truly has the will of the people at his back, he will win a full floor vote. If not, he will fail and a better candidate can be chosen.

Please affirm that the delegates are not bound and may vote their conscience without penalty.

Donald Trump received over 12 million votes from democrats in open primaries. It is wrong for the opposition party to be allowed to select our candidate. Stop this madness.

As a conservative voter, I have been strongly opposed to Trump's nomination on both moral and political grounds. I urge the RNC's Rules Committee to unbind the delegates as the shear amount of Republican candidates running split the Republican vote between too many. I will not vote for or support Trump or any political candidate that supports him. I may consider leaving the party if he is nominated.
