I believe that Donald Trump originally started his quest for the White House with the best intentions for helping our country but I have now changed my mind. Being that he is not originally from the political arena had been a driving force for him with the American public; citizens are fed up with not much being resolved between the two parties (believe me I know about this being from IL; oh, are we in trouble in this state). Now, as we hear and read transcripts of Donald Trump's comments, the public is becoming more concerned (or at least should be) about how he will lead our country. As someone who has worked with children for a long time, I have found that when they have done something that I do not approve of, I can get more out of them if I remain calm, talk using words that reflect that I do not care for their actions but still believe that they are inherently a good person. Even though this is really hard to do all of the time, this is how a true Christian treats another human being. I do not see this tendency in Donald Trump. I realize that, for the most part, the media leans more toward the liberal side but, like it or not, this is what the world sees of our country. The Republican party needs to stop and think about whether Donald Trump is the candidate that will best represent their party to the world. If he is not, then something needs to be done so that my children can still have the possibility of looking upon the party with the respect that it truly deserves. The GOP is digging it's own grave with this insane support of this man. Democrats voted in our primaries for Trump. After 44 years of being a Republican I am deeply ashamed of my party and will be leaving it soon. You will not be able to depend on my loyal vote. It is NOT too late even now. Free the delegates, it is getting scary what Trump does not know. He will hire heaven knows who to help him run the government. He is not knowledgeable about anything. We need a conservative that understands the Constitution and knows how to use it in court and in Congress. I think Congress needs a lesson on the Constitution. All those over 70 should be eliminated and sent home.

Watching the Rules Committee last night reminded me of high school students voting for homecoming queen. Let's the popular bullies set the agenda, and since we want to be popular, we will go along with them. I don't think most of these people think for themselves, and then they laugh at everyone else because WE JUST DON'T GET IT. You guys are correct, (not right, cause there is nothing right about you) we don't get selling out your country so you can be popular. You are the Republicans and have never supported the conservatives like Goldwater, Reagan, or Cruz. I can honestly say the Republican party is not the party of Reagan, Lincoln, or me. I do not understand how the Trump Campaign has not been shut down long ago for its violent atmosphere and threats against delegates lives if they intend to vote against Trump, threats of riots if Trump is not nominated. Trump does not have the temperament or the knowledge of policy to be the President. We need Ted Cruz. He got the majority of Republican votes. Trump got mostly Democrat crossover to be sure he is nominated to lose against Hillary.
