Everybody has the right to be safe. This law will cause many people to be raped. He does not have the right to make everyone to be afraid of using the bathroom or locker rooms and showers.

As a woman who was sexually abused as a child, I find the proposed changes unacceptable and terrifying. I am the mother of a six year old boy with special needs and there is no way he will be using a bathroom or a locker room by himself if this law passes. He has no way to protect himself against sexual predators. There are better ways to handle this problem! Please protect our children and our women by not moving forward with the open bathroom and locker room laws. It was hard enough for me to compete in sports in high school and college with my sexual abuse emotional scars. Sharing the locker room with other women was hard enough I could not have done it with biologically male persons. There is no way I would have been able to compete in high school and college sports which were a huge part of my life and my healing process. Additionally my life and my son's life will be negatively affected by this proposed change. We have done nothing wrong and yet we have to change our way of living. We do not hate the transgender community and my son had a gender variant child in his homeschool athletic class. We loved Alex and got along fine with Alex. There were no issues. There were also no shared locker room or bathroom times. If I had a daughter I would not want her using the same bathroom in elementary school as an anatomically male child. There are things a parent should have the right and ability to share with their children NOT a child at school who is indentifying as a female but still has a penis. Additionally removing gender from sports sort of makes it a free for all. Everyone can compete equally with no restraint EXCEPT that there are some general principals of biology that have stood the test of time. There are few women who can math the physical strength of and equally sized male. Can women be just as strong? Yes. I have beat many males in arm wrestling, basketball and volleyball. Forcing your views and morals onto my children, especially those in elementary school, is NOT okay. Your actions will segregate this country faster than anything, as those who can, will flock to private schools. Congratulations! My wife and I are astounded and ashamed of our country, at this time, for allowing "sexual identity" to become an important topic in the White House. We believe that your priorities for our great country are completely turned around from the priorities of 99% of the people you SERVE. Exposing girls to penises is child abuse. Period. Accommodation is NOT discrimination. Transgender individuals should use private facilities. May we have the courage to stand up against this tyranny.

We are born either male or female. While there are males who may want to be female, or females who may want to be male, this does not change the reality that they are male or female. The Federal Government has overstepped. This order should be defied by every state; county; city; school district; school; & person.
