Informed consent is only possible when adequate information on both benefits and risks is given, and patients decisions are free from coercion or penalty.

I want to keep my teaching job. I feel my students need me, especially now, As a communications professor, I am particularly concerned for my students regarding the free speech issue. There has been, and continues to be deliberate censorship which has kept alternative views and proper civic discourse from happening easily especially on campus, and in the borough and of course the country as well. As this petition states, "the voices of reasoned dissent" have been silenced. "No probing questions" have been invited. Our students are not seeing a University own up to its promise of inclusivity. In the civic engagement class that I teach, dissenting views are encouraged, as we build trust with one another to allow all opinions to be heard. I am also concerned about what our Group Communication class is being shown through example. As they struggle to find solutions to problems, they must work within a group and use the process of Deliberation, and Problem solving method in order to take all voices into account, and weigh all the risks and the benefits of a workable solution. What kind of sense does it make to solve the "problem" of mandated vaccines for all when it does not always affect all? I work for World Campus, and my schedule is such that I have no direct contact with students, administration or colleagues. My students would likely have a robust debate with me regarding the very low grade they would receive if they came up with this one size fits all solution.

I am a 1997 PSU alum and I find it appalling that the university is mandating that employees get the COVID-19 vaccination. This should be a personal health decision. You are violating people’s constitutional rights and the Nuremberg Code. Please follow actual science and deny Joe Biden’s mandate, which by the way has yet to come to fruition. I have never been so ashamed of my alma mater as I am in this moment! Stand up for what is right so we can remain Penn State proud!

Everybody should have a right to make choices on their life if they choose to get the shot that's fine if they choose not to get the shot that should be OK too .Our country was founded on Freedom to make choices Men and women fought for this country to have freedom to choose. I don't think it's right for anybody to choose what you should put in your body.

When I heard that the unvaxxed students were separated onto an "Unvaxx" bus during this year's Orientation, I was shocked. So not surprised they are pushing ahead with more discriminatory measures. Do not support PSU financially. Pull your children out of the school.

Hugely disappointed in an alma mater of mine. Future support of PSU will not be happening.

No employer should force untested, unsafe medical procedures onto their employees. America has freedom of choice, and it should stay that way
