I have no pool, no in-ground sprinklers, and use water conservatively. My NYAW bills have doubled in the last 3 years, which is ridiculous. Especially when neighboring towns pay a fraction of what we're paying in Lynbrook. And, our water pressure and quality in Lynbrook is atrocious. NYAW tries to convince us that we are using more gallons of water every time the bill is high, yet the bills from previous years show that's untrue. I'ts time to give all residents equal and honest service. NYAW is nothing but greedy and corrupt.

NYS PSC should take over NYAW water infrastructure so water becomes affordable and a private for-profit water company isn't able to charge outrageous prices to its customer for a basic utility such as water.

There is one person in my house.... me! My bills go up in the warmer months because I water my shrubs. I don’t water the entire property. My average winter bill is around $23.00 and in the warmer months it can range from about $450.00 up to about $640.00. That is insane. I don’t have a huge piece of property being watered and I don’t have any leaks in the system. I have a choice of allowing my shrubs to die and feed myself, or vice versa. I’ve lived in this house since 1973 with a growing family and never had this kind of bill. We need to get rid of this company. I do not water my shrubs when it rains, but it doesn’t help at all during hot spells. My water bill is my biggest expense

The time is NOW!! EVERY ratepayer in each of the 3 districts imprisoned by Un-AW MUST fight for our RIGHT to AFFORDABLE PUBLIC WATER!! The PSC and EVERY elected official (with affected ratepayers) MUST be held accountable to fix this disaster once and for all. We were all told in the past that “nothing can be done.” This is the fiction we have been fed. Getting rid of the private monopoly investor-owned model on L.I. CAN AND WILL BE done just like it has and is getting done in other parts of the country. Don’t let ANYONE tell you otherwise! The climate is ripe now-the pressure MUST be kept on! The POLITICAL WILL is the solution!!

Water should be state or publicly owned.
Private ownership of water systems must go,
Not for profit will help reduce highest water rates in the region.
