Climate change needs to be made an urgent priority across America, including in Greenwich, NY. Partnering with the iMatter movement, I am trying to get the Town of Greenwich to endorse the goals of the Green New Deal, a bill proposed by NY Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in February. By passing a resolution supporting federal legislation to address climate change, local governments like ours can make their voices heard nationally. We all have something to lose to climate change, and we all have a responsibility to ensure our communities are effectively combating climate change.
