Let small boutique studios open if they have a plan to keep clients safe!

Our small boutique gym feels safer than a grocery store or any other mass merchant that is currently open. Please allow them to open June 1.

I am a Pilates instructor who teaches a class each Saturday to 4 people in a small private space. There is no one else there. We should not be lumped in the Lifetime Fitnesses of the world!!

Please allow yoga studios and cross fit boxes to be owned again. Classes are way smaller than regular gyms. I need them opened for my mental health!!

The small locally-owned boutique Pilates studio I belong to started amazing precautionary and distancing measures even before the state officially went into “lockdown,” and have even more measures planned for reopening. They are not the same operation as the larger gym I belong to, and not at all the same environment, which is what these decisions are ideally based upon. Please reconsider this timeline for the smaller boutique fitness operations. Thank you!

The small boutique Pilates studio is the opposite of a large fitness business. With the procedures they will put into place, I would feel safer there than in a hair salon, which opens June 1st. PLEASE reconsider the category in which you have put these small fitness boutique studios.

The Pilates Body is a small boutique studio and would have no problems from knowing safe distance protocols outlined by the CDC and MN state.

Thank you Gov. Walz for the work you have done. Please consider this petition. The small studio I go to functions very differently than the large ones. Class size is usually 2-4 people in a large room. I'm an RN and feel safe in the small setting and the care the studio has always given to the health and safety of the clients at BFLF.

Please reconsider your decision and let Pilates Body open June 1st. As others have stated, this is not your classic gym and should not be in the same category.

The smaller “boutique” gyms should not be similar, equated to the large gyms.
